DMCA Policy

Last Updated: 22 February 2026

DOSHO respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users and creators to do the same. This policy explains how to report copyright infringement on our platform and how we respond to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

1. Overview

DOSHO will respond expeditiously to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement. We will remove or disable access to material that is claimed to be infringing and will terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

DOSHO operates as a platform host and is not responsible for content uploaded by users or creators, but we take copyright protection seriously and maintain a clear process for addressing infringement claims.

2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content on DOSHO infringes your copyright, you may submit a written takedown notice to our designated DMCA Agent (see Section 7). Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will:

  • Acknowledge receipt within 2 business days.
  • Review the notice for completeness and validity.
  • Remove or disable the allegedly infringing content within 5 business days of a valid notice.
  • Notify the user or creator who uploaded the content.
  • Provide the counter-notice procedure to the affected party.

3. Required Elements of a Notice

To be valid under the DMCA, your written notice must include all of the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work — describe the work you claim has been infringed, or if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list.
  2. Identification of the infringing material — provide the specific URL(s) on DOSHO where the allegedly infringing material is located.
  3. Your contact information — your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. Good faith statement — a statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Accuracy statement — a statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature — a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.

Incomplete notices will not be actioned. Please ensure all required elements are present before submitting.

4. Counter-Notice Procedure

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was in error or that you have the right to use the material, you may file a counter-notice. A valid counter-notice must include:

  1. Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which DOSHO may be found).
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, DOSHO will:

  • Forward the counter-notice to the original complainant.
  • Restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant notifies us they have filed a court action.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

DOSHO maintains a strict repeat infringer policy. Accounts that receive:

  • 2 valid DMCA notices — will receive a formal warning and content restrictions.
  • 3 or more valid DMCA notices — will have their account permanently terminated.

Creators whose accounts are terminated for repeat infringement will forfeit any unpaid earnings held on the platform.

6. False Claims Warning

Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to civil liability, including costs and attorneys' fees.

Do not file a DMCA notice if you are not the copyright owner or do not have a good faith belief in infringement. Abuse of the DMCA process will result in account suspension.
